Dear Rutvik, Detergent will lower the surface tension but has a tendency of foaming. Try to get low foaming wetting agent from manufacturers of surfactants viz. Kusa Chemicals Ltd. or Sunshield Chemicals Ltd. Both have offices in Mumbai. I understand that wetting agent will reduce the surface tension of the water and increases the wettability of water..
Can anybody give me the name of wetting agents. Will detergent powder work as wetting agent? How wettng agent can be used in hydrostatic test?
