Re: [MW:6395] Qualification of pipe

If you speak about WPS according to ASME IX then under the conditions you wrote, your welding conditions are qualified for pipe 6" according to QW-452.3
the P-No.1 to P-No.1 can not  qualify  P-NO.8 to P-No.8 as per QW-424.1 and also can not qualify P-NO.8 to P-No.8 as per QW-424.1

If you speak about WPQ according to ASME IX then under the conditions you wrote, your welding conditions are qualified for pipe 6" according to QW-452.3
the P-No.1 to P-No.1 can qualify  P-NO.8 to P-No.8 as per QW-424.1 and also can qualify P-NO.10H to P-No.810H as per QW-423.1



1) I have qualified for welding pipe 2" (60.3mm OD) material P-No.1 to P-No.1.

Do I qualified for welding
a) pipe 6" (168.3mm OD)
b) material P-No.8 to P-No.8
c) pipe P-No.10H to P-No.10H with 2" (OD).

2) If we welding pipe, the qualification base on OD pipe or thickness pipe?
