Yes ,it is qualified.SA 240 Type 304L comes under P No. 8 Gr.1 ,so the WPS can be used to weld other P8 - P8  materials irrespective of groups as long as there is no impact test rquired.Anyhow you have to use same consumable as F and A number of consumable is an essential varible. Go to QW/QB 422 ,Page No. 80 of ASME BPV SEC IX 2007 Edition. Review chart QW 253 ,then review subsection QW 404.

Please let me know with reference, query is A repair organization has a WPS which states it is qualified for P-8 to P-8 material welded with E308, E308L, E309, E316, electrodes (SMAW proess). The PQR, supporting this WPS, states the weld test coupon were SA-240 Type 304L material, welded with E308 electrodes. Is the WPS  properly qualified for the base material listed?
