--
I would like to know about the procedure regarding welding repair in carbon steel piping system that work with products containing H2S. I have received the information that we have to perform three cycles of heat treatment on the test piece used to qualify the welding procedure in order to use this test to perform welding repair on the joints and the number of the cycles means the quantity of repair allowed on the production welds.
Is this procedure correct ? Is this procedured valid only for some groups of materials ? Is there any rule governing this action ?
Could you kindly help me in this query ?

Re: [MW:6510] PWHT for carbon steel piping system working with H2S to perform welding repair
Hi
Pls follow the project specification.
Since the NACE MR-0175. states ,the condition for which NACE MR-0175 is used, you have to fulfill the requirement of Hardness.
For example, if you face 2 repairs on the same location, you have fulfill the 22HRC Max. requirement after 2 repair by welding Procedure.
