So if I qualify the welders on production weld I can then give them 3G & 4G qualifications is that what you are saying?.

80 degree is allowable tilt in the production weld not for the qualification purpose.

In accordance with ASME IX QW461 positions.

If I test welders on plate and tilt the joint to 80 degrees does that mean on one test butt weld I can qualify my welders for 3G and 4G?
