RE: [MW:9320] Higher value of UTS, acceptable?

Dear JJ,

I would think , you need to see if all the requirements of SA 350LF2, Cl1 are being met or not. Getting dragged on to only one property may not be right. If all other properties are within the specification requirements , it may be worthwhile to seek an explanation from the mill/supplier.

Errors in test results could be due to many things.

Thanks.

Subject: [MW:9317] Higher value of UTS, acceptable?

Dear all,

I have a material A350 LF2, CL1  with UTS of 724MPa (As mentioned in TC of Manufacturer).

As per ASME Sec IIA, requirement is 485 - 655 Mpa.

The higher value of UTS beyond the spec requirements is aceptable?

Thanks.
Regards,
JJ
