If your Production pwht soaking time is 10hrs, your PQR shall be qualified atleast for 80% of the 10hrs i.e. 8hrs within the same temperature range. The total time of 10 hrs can be attained in 5 cycles, each of 2 hrs or you can split it as you want by being within the temperature range.
However, some client specification even limit on the higher side i.e the Production PWHT soaking time shall be within 80% of the PQR soaking time. So in that case your PQR soaking time shall be within 0.8 to 1.2 times the actual production PWHT soaking time.
I hope it's clear.
