Re: [MW:9497] Swelding query on super duplex pipe and fittimgs

Hii ,

A per  my practical experience ,It was acceptable now becuase we can not do anything unless we cut the spool piece and rotate then re weld ......with elbow ....but present situation  is It has been already welded .and also it was duplex material ...So

If Client is favour on this situation ,please take the hardness at HAZ area of bothsides and go for 100% RT .

But fitter was done mistakenly welded...e when he was fit up done with pipe to elbow .He should have rotate the pipe before the fit up ....

This is my concern ...

Thank you

Suresh

Dear team members,

The material spec is super duplex UNS 32760.
Construction code is ASME B31.3.
Operating pressure is 16Bar.
We have bought the elbows and pipe material with the logitudinal weld seam.
During the fabrication we have faced with the problem on elbow to elbow and pipe to elbow welding. The problem is the manufacture weld seams are in the same line as indicated in the attached photos. Is it acceptable?

Please share your experiences.

best regards,
Elshan.
