After swaging, if it is expanded then hardness is very important. To reduce hardness, it is better go heat treatment(SR)

Whether the heat treatment is needed or not depends on what the product specifications say. Swaging is a form of cold working like drawing, pilgering etc. So, the type of heat treatment also depends on the next step - whether further reduction is planned or whether it is a finished product. The specification to which the tubes are being produced will specify the heat treatment.

Dear All

Tube size : 63.5 X 5.6 is swaged to 50.8 X 7.4

Material Spec : SA210.Gr.A1.

Is it mandatory to make a heat treatment after swaging.

If required, what kind of heat treatment  to be performed,
